This Classic Tybee Cottage features 2 Master Suites with King Beds and TVs in every bedroom. Located on a quiet neighborhood street, you're away from the hustle and bustle, but still an easy walk to the beach (about 3 short blocks) or Memorial Park with Basketball, Tennis and Volleyball Courts, Playground and Picnic Area.

PLEASE NOTE: Dogs are not allowed on the beaches anywhere on Tybee Island – see Tybee Beach Rules. Violators are subject to a $290 fine on the first offense! Make sure you make arrangements for proper care for your pet before heading to the beach! Please pick-up and properly dispose of your dog’s waste; do you, or future guests, want to smell, or step in, previously deposited dog poop? We think not. Tybee does have two Dog Parks located at the intersection of Van Horne and Fort Streets between the Police Station and River's End Campground and RV Park. For practical reasons, the dog parks are only open from dawn ‘til dusk.

Mermaid House

The house was very nice. We loved the decor! The only issue I would say is it smelled musty. Other that that it was great!

Fortunately, our only experience was checking in and out. The office people were very nice and helpful.205 2nd Avenue ( The Mermaids Cottage) is a great vacation property for 6 adults and 2 children. It is in a wonderful location. It is an easy 2 block walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping are nearby, and it is a great base for sightseeing in Savannah.We have enjoyed this property for 9 years and will probably continue coming as long as our grandchildren want to come.
