The Tybee Island YMCA and Memorial Park are also close by with tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, children`s playground, picnic tables with grills and a covered pavilion available to rent for groups.
PLEASE NOTE: Dogs are not allowed on the beaches anywhere on Tybee Island – see Tybee Beach Rules. Violators are subject to a $290 fine on the first offense! Make sure you make arrangements for proper care for your pet before heading to the beach!
Please pick-up and properly dispose of your dog’s waste; do you, or future guests, want to smell or step in, previously deposited dog poop? We think not. Tybee does have two Dog Parks located at the intersection of Van Horne and Fort Streets between the Police Station and River's End Campground and RV Park. For practical reasons, the dog parks are only open from dawn ‘til dusk.
